Meet a WorldExplore Tour Director!

WorldExplore tours are led by experienced educators that have extensive, firsthand knowledge of the culture around you because
your Tour Director is a local. That means taking in some of the grandest waterfalls in the world and experiencing Reykjavik as a local.

WorldStrides receives nearly 1,500 Tour Director applications each year. On average, only 70 applicants will make the cut.

Simon Wilkinson

Hello! I was born in Kampala, Uganda, but home for me is England and I have traveled to almost every corner of Britain. I am a veteran high school teacher who loves exploring the world. I enjoy acquiring new langauges and have had the chance to use my Spanish in Ecuador and my French in France, Morocco, and Madagascar. Working as a Tour Director for WorldStrides is exciting for me because it combines teaching, logistics, and exploring. I look forward to sharing your adventure with you!

We are incredibly proud of our entire team of Tour Directors. Simon is just one example of our roster of experienced guides and may not be the actual Tour Director for your Iceland adventure.

What Our Travelers Are Saying...

Everything was well planned and organized from our flights, the tour bus, hotel accommodations, admissions, to meals. Our tour bus driver and tour guide were AMAZING! They were so knowledgeable, helpful, and kind as they shared their country with us. This was truly a once in a lifetime trip!

– Brett, 2022

WorldStrides provided a well organized itinerary and excellent transportation. A local guide introduced us to the architecture, geographical features and the country’s use of geothermal energy. An active fun filled trip ended with a soak in the Blue Lagoon. An amazing taste of Iceland!
